Love, Mum
On Mother’s Day years ago, Evan proudly showed me around Disneyland, making sure we saw everything. It was a rare moment because it felt like he was introducing me to the world and I always thought that would be my job. His enthusiasm was infectious, and it was a great memory for us. This little boy is graduating in June from Canyon High School class of 2020. So proud of his hard work in school and all the obstacles he had to face due to our life in general. It hasn’t been an easy road, but he means the world to me. His grandfather isn’t here to guide us in these times of uncertainty, but we will endure because he taught us how to survive. Evan’s quiet strength and smile get me through the day and make life worth living and fighting for. He is the reason I try every day. So many people have come and gone in our lives but I give a lot of credit and my heart to my parents, my brother Jim, family, and friends throughout the years that have helped me raise him. No one is forgotten and everyone was part of our story; some were lessons, and some were blessings. My wish for Evan is for him to be happy, healthy, and to know the difference between right and wrong in all his endeavors. Evan, your future is wide open to so many choices and decisions to make the best of your life and to do great things with it. I am so proud of you and I love you…
