SCV Senior Center Reaches Out
The SCV Senior Center continues to reach out to the Senior community in the Santa Clarita Valley. The Center called “Bella Vida” is closed but is busier than ever. The commitment to provide a quality of life for seniors is no more apparent than in this time of crisis.
The longer the pandemic continues, the greater the need for each person to reach out to the senior community. We encourage anyone to call us if a senior is in need. Our professional counseling staff is ready to assist with resources, food, counseling and connecting seniors with services. All our services are free – so please spread the word and call 661-259-9444.
The SCV Senior Center will soon be launching a variety of virtual classes very similar to the schedule when the Senior Center was open. Education, exercise and group chats are being organized. These services will complement the Counseling services and our Nutrition services.
The Nutrition program is delivering almost 700 meals to homebound seniors (Meals on Wheels) and the Drive Thru service at Bella Vida is serving over 400 meals a day. The meals are for seniors 60 years of age and older and can be arranged by calling the Center.
You can support the Senior Center by making a donation at www.scv-seniorcenter.org .
