The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – April 2021
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
KOKO
I was dropped off at another rescue with my best friend Lizzie. That rescue did not have room for us so they brought us here. They say I am about 1 year old, 8 lbs. and a Chihuahua. I am shy at first but love to be held and to cuddle once I get to know you. I am just a young pup so I am learning all the basics and will need a patient adopter who can help me continue to learn. I have just started walking on a leash and I am still a little scared but I am getting the hang of it. The staff laugh and say they think I would prefer to be carried in a purse. In any event I am sweet, gentle, get along with other dogs and just need the right home to help me live my best life.
KING
I was rescued a year ago from the Palmdale Animal Shelter. I had an army of people fighting for a rescue to take me in because I was the longest resident at the shelter. I was fortunate their efforts paid off which is why I am here. They think I am about 13, so yes, a bit of a frosted face. I still enjoy long walks, love toys, and every person I meet. I am well taken care of here but I really want a home of my own. A place where I know I am loved and where I will never know loneliness again. I really hope someone will take a chance on me soon.
LIZZIE
I was dropped off at another rescue with my best friend Koko. That rescue was full so they brought us here. At first I was really scared here but that all changed very quickly and my true personality is now on full display. I am super playful, love to go for walks and playing is my favorite pastime. They say I am about 1 year old, 11 lbs. and a Chihuahua. I am still a youngster and I have never had a home so I will need a family or person who is patient and understanding as I get the hang of all the basics. I get along well with other dogs but I am still a young pup so I like to play a lot! If you are looking to add a spark to your life, I am the girl for you.
ZOEY
I am 2 years old, know many basic commands, love long walks and I adore every person I meet. I am very active so I need a person who is committed to daily physical activity and an experienced adopter would be best since I can be a bit wild. I am unbelievably athletic so minimum 6 foot fences are required to be considered as a potential adopter. They say I am a Cattle Dog, Malamute, and Shepherd with a tad of Grey Wolf. In any event there is no doubt I am stunning. I will do best as the only dog in the home with no young children but with proper training, guidance and socialization from the right person they think the sky’s the limit in what I could learn to do. I am thankful to be here at this sanctuary but my dream is for a home of my very own.
