WiSH Education Foundation Launches WiSH Webinar Wednesdays as a Resource For All Students Considering College

by | Sep 29, 2021 | Community

Last year, WiSH hosted several very popular informational college webinars covering an overview of college applications and very detailed tips and tricks for the UC and Common Application Essays; this year they have expanded the program to meet the needs of all students considering college as an option, including how to navigate athletic recruiting, performing arts, elite colleges and more. It’s what you DON’T know about applying to college that can make all the difference for your student!
The series kicked off on September 22nd with WUE Wednesday – an overview of WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange) and what that program can mean for California students hoping to go to an out of state university. If you missed it, you can purchase the recording and learn from the approximately 15 college reps that joined the webinar.
Beyond WUE, WiSH is offering webinars that cover Essays of the Common Application, UC Application and Essay Brainstorming, Scholarships and Financial Aid, Athletic Recruiting, Visual and Performing Arts, Elite College Admissions and the very popular General College Overview Process.
All webinars are only $35 and presented by WiSH board member and Certified College Counselor Donna Siegel, who is also the co-founder of Lemonade Education. Guest speakers from universities nationwide will join webinars throughout the year, giving our local students access to extraordinary resources. With private college counseling costing upwards of several hundred dollars per hour, these interactive webinars with certified professionals and college reps are an incredible opportunity for your student. All webinars are interactive via moderated chat. If you are unable to join a webinar you can purchase the recording. All are held on Wednesdays throughout the year from 6-8pm. Ticket purchasers will receive their ZOOM link and password the day before.
Be sure to check out the website at www.wisheducationfoundation.org for dates, current guest speakers and availability.
