Your Story is My Story – June 2022
A few years ago I received a call from a friend, Bob Bergen, the famous voice behind Porky Pig, Tweety and many other characters. He is one of the most famous voice actors in the business. He was calling about his dear friend, Marian Massaro. Marian was living in New York at the time doing Voice Overs and Live Announcing. Bob kept telling her to move to Los Angeles where voice actors had great job opportunities. He finally convinced her to move to the entertainment capital of the world. Before Marian could make her move she needed to take care of business. While she was getting things in order Bob and I started searching for her home. This was perfect because Bob had lived in SCV and knew the area. Being a busy man we had to see as many homes in a day as feasible. Marian trusted him to find her the “perfect home”. It was fun looking at homes while FaceTiming with Marian and hearing her comments. After a few days we found her a wonderful home with a view of the mountains. The first time Marian saw her new home was when I was handing her the keys after we closed escrow. It was exciting to see her reaction, she was ecstatic. Bob did a great job! Marian has now settled in and loves living in SCV. Her career has blossomed, she has made her name in the voice over business. She and I remain friends and every so often I’ll get a call asking if I’d like to attend one of her events. It’s so exciting to see and hear her working and loving what she does. She has done live announcing for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Creative Arts Emmy Awards, MSNBC, The Golf Channel, McDonalds and many more. I’m sure you’ve heard her. I’m so happy for her success and now her story is my story. This is what I love doing. If you’d like any help, or want to discuss real estate feel free to call me, I’d love to hear from you.
