Are You Ready for the New School Year?
My name is Helen Mayer and I founded Otter, a childcare marketplace now in Santa Clarita. We match families who need childcare with stay-at-home parents who get paid to take care of kids in their community.
I started Otter because I truly believe in Otter’s mission of connecting families within a community to create safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for kids to learn and grow. Parents providing care get paid for their work and parents working outside of the home get care they can rely on.
I know the stress of the childcare search firsthand, because I’ve been there. I also know that your childcare needs are constantly changing as your kids grow and circumstances shift. With a new school year about to begin in Santa Clarita, many parents are likely searching for new childcare. We hope Otter can be part of the solution for you!
Whether you’re looking for full-time care for your young ones, after-school care for your school-age kids, or some other piece of the puzzle, I encourage you to check us out. We’ll work to match you with another parent in your neighborhood who can provide reliable and nearby childcare for your family. It’s childcare that feels like family.
