Growing Our Community of Care
My company Otter matches families who need childcare with caregivers in their community. We’ve learned a lot about what makes for a good match when it comes to childcare and we’re taking what we’ve learned and adapting it to better serve the families of Santa Clarita.
When we first launched, the caregivers on our platform were exclusively other parents. This meant parents were providing care for other parents in their community. We still love this model, but have decided the time has come to open up our platform to all caregivers, so that we can better meet the high demand for childcare in Santa Clarita!
We’re now encouraging anyone with previous caregiving experience to sign up – this of course includes stay-at-home parents or any parents, but also professional nannies, college-age babysitters, grandparents, teachers, and many more! We believe care work is real work and it’s important to us to help caregivers find families that value childcare and those providing it in the same way.
If you’re interested in being a caregiver, we’d love to match you with parents in your community who need care. Please sign up at www.withotter.com (signing up is free!) and our team will get in touch to find you the perfect match!
