J.R.’s Comedy Club The Royal Funeral
Here are some random thoughts. I was watching the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II today. It was historic and spectacular. It was also hours long. I kept thinking I sure hope King Charles III does not have an enlarged prostate. I had to put it on pause two times from home just sitting on my couch! I wonder if there is such a thing as a Royal Under Garment. They say they have been planning it for over twenty years. At one point they had the Queen’s Piper proceed the entire length of the hall playing his bagpipes. Do you think he has been rehearsing this for the last twenty years and can you imagine what his neighbors must have been going through? “Please Nigel! I think you have it down!” Then I saw an aerial view of William and Harry’s heads and I got guilty pleasure from the sight of their hair loss. There are distinct stages of going bald. The first stage is denial. This is when you comb over anything you’ve got even if it looks like strips of bacon frying on your head. The next stage is anger. This when you judge your fondness of other people based on whether they have more or less hair than you. I love William and Harry. Next comes bargaining when you try anything from pills to ointments, to lazer contraptions you put on your head. If any of them worked, you would not see any bald guys. Then comes depression when you see how much hair transplants cost. Finally comes acceptance. I don’t know if I will ever get to that stage. One way to soothe any feeling of grief is to attend a show at J.R.’s Comedy Club. We have another amazing lineup of comics in the month of October. It’s time to start thinking about us as a place to have your Holiday party. We can also bring the show to you. Also, don’t forget our legendary New Year’s Eve Celebrations which will be announced very soon. As always for all details go to www.comedyinvalencia.com.
