Happy Brow Company
Hello! My name is Stephanie Sturm, owner at Happy Brow Company. I am a highly trained artist and educator of Microblading and Powder Brows, and specialize in natural looking results. My studio is located in the Sola Salon Suites on Town Center Drive in Valencia. I get a lot of questions about Microblading and wanted to share some of them with you.
“What is Microblading, is it a tattoo?”
Yes, microblading is a semi permanent tattoo which implants pigment into the skin using a hand tool called a micro blade. The micro blade creates a small “paper-cut” type incision which is called a hair stroke. The hair stroke mimics the look of real hair and helps to create a more complete brow in areas that are sparse or missing.
“What is the difference between Microblading and Powder Brows?”
Microblading creates a hair stroke that mimics the look of real hair. Powder Brows is a technique that uses a tattoo device to create dots on the skin, often times called pixels, which give the appearance of soft powder as if your brows were filled in with makeup. Both techniques are natural looking once healed. It is important to mention that not all skin types are ideal for microblading, you should book a consultation to determine which style is better suited for your skin type.
“Does the procedure hurt?”
While everyone has a different pain tolerance the average response given to me by my clients is no. On a scale from 1 to 10 I have personally only had a pain level of 2 to 3 reported to me. I use a topical lidocaine to numb the procedure area.
