Exciting News

As most of you know we lost our practice owner, Dr. Tracy McFarland, in September of 2018. Still to this day, we do occasionally come across the client who did not know that she had passed away. It was an extremely difficult time for all of us here and I know a great number of our wonderful clients shared in our grief. As we still grieve for her, we want to honor her now and in the future. The amazing Veterinary Community in Santa Clarita rallied around us for quite awhile – for that we are extremely grateful. We are also very grateful for Dr. Megan for leading the team and taking over as Medical Director. By doing that, it really gave our team hope and support to continue Dr. Tracy’s dream of providing exceptional feline medicine. In the past 4 years I have been asked several times when are we going to close or when are we going to sell. Closing was not an option – Dr. Tracy would not have wanted that. As far as selling, we had more than a few good opportunities. The leadership of The Cat Doctor really wanted the right person to take over and lead us into the future while still remembering Dr. Tracy McFarland including her feline medicine principles. After all our challenges of the past few years that our incredible care team has been through, the time has finally come! I’m more than excited to announce our new practice owner, Dr. Carlie Linger. Dr. Linger may sound familiar to some of you. She was a full time Doctor here several years ago. I remember when Dr. Tracy hired Dr.
Linger. Dr. Tracy even said then that she hoped that Dr. Linger would some day take over The Cat Doctor. Please join Richard Bultman, Dr. Megan, myself, and our amazing care team in welcoming Dr. Carlie Linger as the new practice owner of The Cat Doctor & Friends. For those who don’t know her, there could not be a more cat-centric person than Dr. Linger. Cats and feline medicine have been her passion all her life. We will have more information about Dr.
