Look Your Best and Feel Great this Year – Valencia Medical Center
When it comes to looking and feeling your best it is all about the mindset. Dermatologists want you to feel healthy and comfortable inside and out and are here to help you in any way they can. Advanced Certified Injector, Ana Tevez-Ortiz, wants to do just that, and she has the knowledge and experience to do so.
Tevez-Ortiz is a bilingual (English and Spanish) plastic surgical nurse with 7 years of experience in plastic surgery and skin care specialty. She was trained by one of the most skilled plastic surgeons, Dr. Gordon Sasaki, as well as other medical providers.
“He trained me to be a nurse injector and I learned to appreciate the anatomy of the face and what aesthetic medicine can do to it,” says Tevez-Ortiz
After undergoing intensive one-on-one training with Dr. Sasaki she became comfortable enough with the procedures and trained with other surgeons and programs. She has also participated in various IRB studies and co-authored articles for the aesthetic journal amongst other journals.
Tevez-Ortiz has spoken at various events and participated in the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialist (SPSSCS). She currently works at the Valencia Medical Center for Bio-Identical Hormonal Therapy.
“My absolute favorite type of surgery to perform is dermal fillers, it makes me feel like an artist,” Tevez-Ortiz says. “My objective is to make my patients look young, not dead,” she laughs.
One type of injection that Tevez-Ortiz administers most commonly is lip augmentation, or lip injections. This procedure is created to give you fuller lips by injecting dermal filler into the lips and around the mouth. Most common fillers today have hyalutonic acid in them, which is a natural substance in the body, and greatly increases the volume in the lips. These fillers add shape, structure, and volume to the lips that typically lasts around six months.
Overall the point of these procedures is to help you along in the process of finding self-confidence. Healthy living is happy living, and embracing your look for summer is healthy living. Dermatologist Tevez-Ortiz is just the person to go see for your next step into self-confidence.
“I genuinely love what I do, my main goal is to educate people on the safety and pros and cons of the procedures, less is always more to freshen up your look.”
