Toastmasters – Local “Outliers” Chapter Invites You! The Power of Teamwork
Have you ever had a deadline to meet…? A whole lot on your plate, everything happening at the same time? We all find ourselves at some point in life feeling like we are doing a balancing act. We have to balance family, work, friends and relationships.
With that said, all these areas in life can benefit from teamwork. This includes being supportive, caring and giving an extra hand, when possible. It takes some of the weight off of the leader when we all chip in. Help that person that’s always helping others. Be a true team player, not just in words only, but in deeds. Your professional and personal life can have a lot of moving parts and spinning plates. During challenging times, teamwork can make it more manageable. Show gratitude to those who illustrate THE POWER OF TEAMWORK. Say “thank you.” We all want to know we are loved, respected and appreciated for our hard work and dedication.
In the spirit of teamwork, we have a partnership with Project Management Institute of Los Angeles (PMI-LA). Members can receive PDUs in our Toastmasters Club. If you are reading this, we would love for you to visit or tell a friend about us. Our doors are open to diversity and inclusion. Enhance your professional and personal life with us!
At Outliers, we are a club that has TABLE TOPICS during our meetings which you will find beneficial when impromptu speaking. We also teach aspects of communication, storytelling, delivery, evaluation, and meeting management. We have PATHWAYS, an educational platform offered in Toastmasters International. You can choose the Path that is best for you and learn skills that will be with you for life, having the potential to raise your self-assurance and skyrocket your impact in life and on others.
Join us to help improve your leadership skills, speaking skills and speech delivery. We welcome you to a safe space to practice, learn and become a more confident you.
Our local chapter is called the Outliers. We are a diverse group that meets on ZOOM from 6:30pm to 8:00pm Pacific on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Thursdays of each month, with quarterly HYBRID MEETINGS in Santa Clarita. Individual mentoring is available. To attend a meeting as our guest, contact our Founder and VP Education, Tom Iland. Note that Tom is one of less than 100 Accredited Speakers in the world, as well as being a Certified Human Potential Coach and a published author. Tom can be reached at 661-313-3323 or tom@thomasiland.com.
