Energized and Envisioning the Future – Selina Thomas at Midyear – 6 Degrees HR Consulting
As we step into the warmth of August, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on the dynamic journey of Selina Thomas, CEO of 6 Degrees HR Consulting Inc. and the 2024 Chairwoman of the Valley Industry Association (VIA). Now at the midpoint of her term and celebrating a decade of her business, Selina’s energy and enthusiasm signal a leader who is truly just getting started.
This summer has been a bustling season for 6 Degrees HR Consulting. Under Selina’s guidance, the company has onboarded new clients and successfully rolled out trainings on the mandatory Workplace Violence Prevention Plan—a critical initiative that ensures safety and security in our workplaces. These accomplishments follow closely on the heels of an invigorating Workforce Development Conference in May, further underscoring her effectiveness and commitment to enhancing professional environments across Santa Clarita.
Looking ahead, Selina is not slowing down. She has an exciting trip planned to London and Paris later this summer to visit a longstanding client for the Summer Olympics. This trip isn’t just a business obligation; it’s a personal milestone as well. Accompanying her will be all three of her daughters, who are poised to begin their own educational adventures at Gonzaga University and University of Portland this fall. This journey represents a blend of professional duties and family moments—hallmarks of Selina’s balanced approach to life and leadership.
Selina’s tenure as VIA Chairwoman has also been met with acclaim. The feedback from community leaders and colleagues has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting her visionary leadership and her ability to inspire and connect with diverse stakeholders.
As she looks to the future, Selina remains grounded in gratitude. She appreciates the community’s support and is driven by a commitment to serve and uplift others. With half of her term still ahead, the excitement for what’s next is palpable—not just for Selina, but for all of us who benefit from her leadership and vision.
In Selina Thomas, we see more than a leader; we see a visionary who continues to shape the future of our business community with unwavering passion and profound expertise. Here’s to many more years of inspiration and leadership from Selina!
