Toastmasters – Local “Outliers” Chapter Invites You! Ready For Public Speaking?
Public speaking covers many areas. If you are in law enforcement, a firefighter, a teacher, a preacher, or another profession that puts you in front of people, we can help you use less filler words (ah, uh, um), develop speaking skills, communication techniques, body language, enhance your leadership abilities and give you the confidence needed in your professional and personal life.
If you do presentations for work, you can practice your presentations with us! You can also receive helpful evaluations from our seasoned members. The Outliers Toastmasters Club has produced four Toastmasters International Area Directors, two Division Directors, two Distinguished Toastmasters (DTMs), and a Toastmasters International Accredited Speaker (there are only 95 in the world!). I, Rosetta Walker, DTM, as a Club Coach, led the club I coached to President’s Distinguished status IN RECORD TIME!
We also have a partnership with Project Management Institute of Los Angeles (PMI-LA). Members can receive a Professional Development Unit (PDU) for each Outliers Toastmasters Club meeting they attend.
If you are reading this, we would love for you to visit or tell a friend about us. Our doors are open to diversity and inclusion. Enhance your professional and personal life with us!
The Outliers meet on ZOOM from 6:30pm to 8:00pm Pacific on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Thursdays of each month, with quarterly HYBRID MEETINGS in Santa Clarita. Individual mentoring is available. To attend a meeting as our guest, contact our Founder and VP Education, Tom Iland. Note that Tom is one of less than 100 Accredited Speakers in the world, as well as being a Certified Human Potential Coach and a published author. Tom can be reached at 661-313-3323 or tom@thomasiland.com. Also find us at www.toastmasters.org, on Instagram at theoutlierstoastmasters_club, and on Meetup at https://www.meetup.com/Santa-Clarita-Outliers-Toastmasters-Club. Let’s talk!
