A Testimonial for Liz Anne Designs
After returning from a trip to Japan, my husband and I came home feeling overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff we had accumulated. That eye-opening realization sparked a major purging process, which we began in November 2024—well before we even considered hiring a designer. Little did we know then that this journey would take us all the way through July 2025, transforming not only our space but our approach to how we live in it.
We found Liz Anne Designs somewhat serendipitously in January. While browsing furniture, I asked a salesman if he knew of any designers, and he immediately recommended Liz. We reached out, and by mid-January, we had begun what became a several-month collaboration. I originally thought the entire process would wrap up by March, but quality furniture often involves longer lead times—and this project was worth the wait.
From the very beginning, Liz’s insight took us in directions we never would have imagined on our own. She didn’t just help us pick out beautiful new pieces; she reimagined how to best use the furniture we already had and reconfigured our space to feel more open, functional, and harmonious. Her problem-solving skills were impressive—she found solutions I couldn’t have envisioned, particularly given the limited square footage we were working with.
Our biggest unexpected challenge came when we decided to renovate a bathroom for safety reasons right in the middle of Liz’s work. It added stress, but Liz remained patient, flexible, and supportive throughout the entire process.
What I appreciated most was Liz’s collaborative spirit. She never forced her ideas on us. I had opinions, and she respected them—working with me to refine and elevate them into something we both felt good about. And when a suggestion didn’t quite feel right, she was quick to pivot and find alternatives that did.
Looking back, we feel incredibly fortunate to have found Liz. Her design talent, calm demeanor, and genuine care made this experience not only successful but enjoyable. We couldn’t be happier with the final result.
