WANTED: Heroes with Heart – A Wild West Gala for Titania K9 Fund – Sunday, October 5, 2025
When the WANTED “Wild West Gala” comes to Santa Clarita on a Sunday Afternoon in October, Titania K9 Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, will celebrate nine years of fundraising for the Amerman Family Foundation Dog Therapy Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The nonprofi t’s namesake, Titania, is an anime character created by young artist and CHLA Patient Tory Kane, who brought both Titania and her therapy dog K9 to life before passing away at the age of 16.
Inspired by the colors of the CHLA butterfl y logo, Titania symbolizes an ordinary child who fi nds the superhero-like powers of courage, love, and hope to fi ght illness and injury, with the help of her canine companion, a therapy dog named K9.
Tory personally requested that any memorial gifts in her honor be directed to the dog therapy program at CHLA, so that future patients could benefi t as she did from the unconditional support of a four-legged friend during diffi cult hospital stays. Her family and friends joined together to form Titania K9 Fund and continue to honor that wish today.
Meet the dogs at Sand Canyon Country Club at WANTED Wild West Gala from 1- 4 pm on Sunday, Oct. 5th. Event details can be found at titaniak9fund.org, where you can also purchase your tickets!
