JCI Santa Clarita to Host Third Annual Veterans Resource & Job Fair
On September 20th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., JCI Santa Clarita will host its Third Annual Veterans Resource & Job Fair at College of the Canyons – Valencia Campus. The event will provide local veterans and their families with tools, resources, and opportunities to help them thrive in civilian life.
JCI Santa Clarita is part of a global network of young active citizens, ages 18 to 40, who are committed to creating positive change in their communities while developing their own leadership skills. The organization’s mission is to support the Santa Clarita Valley through impactful projects and partnerships, while empowering the next generation of leaders to take action both locally and globally.
Over the past three years, the Veterans Resource & Job Fair has grown significantly in both scope and the depth of services offered. Since its launch, the event has supported more than 150 veterans, connecting them with essential services such as education and disability benefits, mental health resources, housing assistance, and benefits for veteran families.
This year’s event is being chaired by JCI members who are themselves veterans or military-connected. Their personal connection to military life brings a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the military-affiliated community, and they are dedicated to ensuring attendees feel supported and connected to the resources they deserve.
The 2025 fair will feature an expanded list of partners, including Agape First Insurance Solutions, Skyline Smiles, College of the Canyons, Berkshire Hathaway, VEG ER for Pets, and Oak Tree Gun Club. And these organzations will be at the fair: CalVet, COC Vet Department, Salvation Army Employment, Stack Up, Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative, American Red Cross, California National Guard Family Programs, EDD – Employment Development Department (State of California), AEGIS (A Pinnacle Treatment Center Network), US Vets Inglewood and JVS- Socal These organizations will provide a wide range of resources, from healthcare and financial planning to employment opportunities and family support, offering a more holistic approach to veteran care.
JCI Santa Clarita invites all veterans, active service members, and their families to attend this year’s Veterans Resource & Job Fair for a day of connection, opportunity, and community. For more information go to www.jcisantaclarita.org/project/veteransresourcefair.
