A Holiday Tradition Continues: Santa Clarita Ballet Presents Its Beloved 2025 Production of The Nutcracker
Celebrating over two decades of enchantment, artistry, and community at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center
This December, the Santa Clarita Ballet Company proudly presents its 2025 production of The Nutcracker. Performed at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons, the production promises to deliver the magic, beauty, and timeless storytelling that have made it a cornerstone of the holiday season in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Since first bringing The Nutcracker to the Performing Arts Center stage in 2004, the Santa Clarita Ballet has become synonymous with exceptional holiday performances that combine professional-caliber production values with pre-professional artistry. What began in 1995 as a small community company has grown into a vital cultural institution.
“Each year, we’re humbled by the community’s continued enthusiasm and support for The Nutcracker,” said Carol Guidry, Artistic Director of Santa Clarita Ballet. “It’s more than a performance – it’s a family tradition, a rite of passage for our dancers, and a celebration of the arts in our city.”
Over the past 30 years, Santa Clarita Ballet Company has built a rich repertory of 23 works, including eight full-length ballets, solidifying its reputation as one of Southern California’s most respected pre-professional companies. The Nutcracker holds a special place in that legacy, enchanting audiences with Marie’s magical journey, Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score, lavish costumes, and graceful choreography that inspires dancers and delights audiences of all ages.
From dazzling snowflakes to the Sugarplum Fairy’s grand pas de deux, The Nutcracker 2025 is set to be a stunning celebration of tradition, talent, and the power of performance. Join us and make it part of your family’s holiday story.
