Unwrap the Magic at the 2025 Festival of Trees
The 23rd annual Festival of Trees returns to the Canyon Country Community Center Friday through Sunday, November 21–23, kicking off the holiday season with festive cheer. Guests will enjoy elaborately decorated full-sized and tabletop trees, charming wreaths, and imaginative gingerbread houses. Attendees can take home a piece of the magic by bidding through silent and live auctions, with all proceeds supporting programs, opportunities, and futures for local Boys & Girls Club children and teens.
“Festival of Trees is more than a holiday tradition — it’s a celebration of creativity, generosity, and community spirit,” said Matthew Nelson, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley.
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley empowers youth ages 4–17 to excel in
school, become good citizens, and lead healthy, productive lives. With 13 sites, the Club provides after-school care, homework help, leadership and character development, sports and recreation, the arts, health and wellness, and workforce readiness programs.
This year’s Festival Chairs, Pamela and Dennis Verner, have lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for more than 35 years and are honored to give back to the community. Their involvement with the Club includes three years of chairing the annual Auction. Pamela serves on the Club’s governing board and owns SCV Commercial Real Estate Services, while Dennis serves on several local boards, including the Club’s Advisory Board, and is the Municipal Manager at Burrtec Waste Industries.
“We are thrilled to chair this year’s Festival of Trees and to celebrate the spirit that brings people together,” said Pamela Verner. “Every tree, wreath, and gingerbread house represents the support that helps local kids grow, learn, and thrive. We can’t wait to welcome families and friends to share in the holiday magic while making a real difference for the Boys & Girls Club.”
“It’s an honor to bring the community together for this festive tradition,” said Dennis Verner. “Festival
of Trees is a wonderful way to support the next generation while celebrating the joy and magic of the season.”
Senior Day is Friday, November 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors of all ages are welcome, with seniors especially invited to enjoy the displays in a relaxed, uncrowded setting. Tickets are $5 for seniors, children, and military; $10 for adults.
The Magic of the Lights Gala begins at 5:30 p.m. on November 21, featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and exclusive live auction opportunities. Tickets are $150 per person, with tables available through sponsorships.
Festival of Trees continues Saturday and Sunday, November 22–23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering live entertainment, a children’s craft corner, and performances from local dance and music studios, high school choirs, and dance teams. Santa Claus makes a special appearance on Saturday, November 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
