SCV Water Draft Water Use Efficiency Strategic Plan Available for Review Plan to Be Considered at May 12 Board of Directors Meeting
SCV Water invites customers and other interested parties to review its draft Water Use Efficiency Strategic Plan (WUESP), which is now available for public review. The WUESP is being developed to establish a comprehensive water conservation strategy for the Santa Clarita Valley.
The WUESP is a key planning and strategic component for SCV Water that will inform, influence, and impact multiple facets of the Agency’s operations, services, and initiatives. Members of the public are encouraged to review the draft WUESP ahead of a SCV Water Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at which the plan will be considered for adoption.
Included in the WUESP are strategic measures for the Agency to implement, as well as a Water Demand Forecast tool and methods for tracking performance and reporting. The result will be a WUESP that meets State of California conservation requirements while improving demand forecasting. This enhanced forecasting will also support future Urban Water Management Plans, water supply planning, and investments, as well as aid in revenue planning and rate design.
Those interested in reviewing the draft WUESP can do so by visiting yourSCVwater.com/wuesp. Information on the May 12 Board of Directors meeting, including how to provide public comment, will be posted to yourSCVwater.com/meetings prior to the meeting date.
For questions or comments regarding the WUESP, please email conservation@scvwa.org using subject line “2026 Water Use Efficiency Strategic Plan.”
