What is the Downtime And Aftercare for Microblading?
After your Microblading appointment there is special care that you need to maintain to ensure optimal healed results. Here are the steps you take to care for your newly bladed brows:
Avoid excess sun. Walking from your car to a store is perfectly fine but if you plan on attending a picnic outside you will want to wear a hat or stick to the shade.
Keep your brows dry. This means no diving head first into a pool! When you shower a protective visor can be worn, however, steam will collect on your brows regardless so I always recommend drying your brows after showering for as long as you have scabs (usually 10-14 days). To dry brows you simply press tissue to your brows and blot gently, avoid a swiping motion so you don’t disrupt the scabs.
Refrain from heavy cardio. Sweating especially in the brow/forehead area can push pigment out of your skin and cause bad retention of pigment.
I send you home with an aftercare essentials kit to take care of your brows. The kit includes a cosmetic ink soap and healing balm which you will use morning and night for the first 10 days of healing. Using this system will ensure that you have great pigment retention and that you are comfortable and not itchy with large scabs.
