Being fashionable in the spring and summer months doesn’t mean you have to be stuck in an uncomfortable outfit that’s only going to last one season. Shopping trendy styles is tough because most of the time we end up finding a color or print we love, but the fit is wrong. There are so many ways to put together an outfit that is comfortable, yet still fun. The key is to find clothing that is flattering and lightweight as the weather warms up.

The go-to item this spring is maxi skirts, which are also perfect for summer.  These long skirts are extremely comfortable. You can wear one to work or during the day with a solid-colored tank top and sandals. Just make sure the skirt is long enough and fitted around the hips. There are so many different prints and colors to choose from. A popular trend this season is a modern tie-dye print. These washed out prints are such a favorite right now. From blue tones to gray and black tie-dye, this style adds just enough to make your outfit stand out. A solid maxi skirt is also a great choice and is easy to mix and match with different tank tops too.
Sometimes comfort can turn our wardrobe into a rather dull selection of basic tops. Keeping it casual in the summer doesn’t mean you have to wear something boring though.  Show off your own sense of style by throwing on a graphic tee. Catchy sayings like “fashion addict” or “love you to the moon and back” turn a plain outfit into something bold. Have fun with this! Let people know what kind of mood you’re in. This cool summer look takes hardly any effort and pairs well with shorts.
Find your favorite color and you’re set.  This is a great time of year to put our love of black aside and try wearing a brighter color. Pale yellows and bright blues are pretty for summer. If you’re still loving leopard, try it in a softer tone. Lighten up that closet ladies! And if you aren’t feeling those colors, there are always bright accessories around to turn to.
