It’s never too early to get a jump start on revamping your fall wardrobe and finding those to-die for fall trends that you absolutely can’t live without. I realize that fall has not yet approached and it may take awhile, especially in California where summer weather tends to drag on, but don’t let the heat stop you from buying them.

It’s always a great idea to snag those overwhelmingly popular fall pieces when they are first made available, so you don’t end up kicking yourself for not purchasing them when you had the chance. To get more use of everything in your wardrobe, mix in the new fall pieces with your already adored summer ones.
Layering can be quite challenging because you are mix and matching a plethora of textures, colors and prints. To your dismay, there are no precise rules when it comes to fashion. Although, there are a few guidelines to follow that can help make it easier.
Choose one statement color and keep the rest within the same family. For instance, wear all neutrals and throw in orange for a pop of color. Orange really is the new black this upcoming season! I understand that orange may not typically be your color of choice, but there are plenty of different shades from dark to light and one is bound to work with your skin tone. Don’t be afraid to make a bold statement and add some color to your fall wardrobe.
Also you can combine different prints. This gives your look more of an edge and exudes creativity. Try pairing leopard print with stripes or florals with polka dots. Layer a striped tee with a flannel and an army inspired utility jacket. Just remember, keep the under layers more fitted in order to appear slim and shapely. Choose a fun printed scarf for more warmth when fall and winter arrive.
Throw on a cropped slim-cut blazer over those beloved maxi dresses and skirts for the ability to wear them all year round.
Your floral and feminine summer items look great paired with an edgy leather jacket and some cute ankle boots. Wear tights or knee high socks to keep your legs warm when the weather starts to cool down.
You can also pair chunky cable knit sweaters and knee high boots, both trends this fall, with your summer shorts.
