Balloon Sinuplasty is a relatively new technique which allows the sinuses to be gently opened and cleared of infection with minimal damage to the surrounding tissues. As a result, there is very little post-operative discomfort and the healing time is greatly reduced. The Doctors of Santa Clarita E.N.T. have been using this tool to treat our patients since it first became available. Patients who require sinus surgery can now undergo a simple, relatively painless procedure on an outpatient basis and, in many cases, can return to work the day following surgery. Thus far our results have been excellent and our patients have been very happy!
We are also particularly excited by the fact that, in the near future, we will be able to treat some of our patients requiring sinus procedures in our office, completely eliminating the need for general anesthesia.
