So which is the best method? Well that depends on your personal preference. All the hair we use is human hair. There are individual cylinder extensions that are great when you don’t need your whole head covered. It is a little cylinder that is looped into your hair in clean rows and then pitched on. It takes about an hour to add volume and two hours to add length. Tape-in hair extensions are wefts of hair attached to small sections of your own hair in a horizontal direction. They lay flat to the head and the whole head can be applied done in about an hour to hour and a half. The results are beautiful and the maintenance is every six to eight weeks on both cylinder and tape system. The reason why you need to maintain the extensions every six to eight weeks is to ensure no damage is done to your own natural hair. Extensions should always be cut dry and good extensions should be undetectable and blend to your hair naturally. The TLC about extensions is to be gentle. If you are nice to them they will be nice to you. Something to look for when getting extensions done is to match the color and texture of your hair with the hair extensions. Touch them first if it feels dry it’s going to tangle more easily, avoid hair with excessive shine. Shiny hair is coated with silicone. If your hair is wavy get wavy extension. If your hair is straight get straight. Always get then to match your texture. Price will vary on method and amount of hair desired.
