Coverall Electric was founded 35 years ago in Culver City, where Mike Derderian, one of the three owners, was raised. In 1987, Mike and his family moved to Santa Clarita, which at the time was known as a young, bedroom-community. With the subsequent growth in Santa Clarita, and our neighboring cities, Coverall Electric continued to provide services throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.
Eventually, Mike and his partners relocated the business to Santa Clarita, and renamed the company Valencia Electric. However, in 2013, in an effort to provide continued, trusted and recognizable service to its existing and new customers, the company reverted back to the original namesake, Coverall Electric, Inc. with an updated insignia. During the same time, Coverall Electric was reorganized and introduced two new owners, Scott Derderian (Mike’s eldest son), and Ian Seyerle. Together, Mike, Scott, and Ian have merged their unique skill-sets, and collectively established a multi-faceted Electrical Contracting Company.
Coverall Electric is comprised of three components: Residential, Commercial, and HOA/Shopping and Business Center Lighting Maintenance. Our scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Main Electrical Service upgrades (100-4000 Amps), troubleshooting, ceiling fans, interior and exterior lighting, Energy Management Systems, power distributions, tenant improvements, parking lot and street lighting, building and monument sign repair, LED retrofitting, Lighting Maintenance Programs, lighting maps, emergency service, and more! In order to meet our customer’s needs, we have a 19’ scissor-lift and a 32’ bucket-truck among our fleet of service trucks. We proudly provide service in the Santa Clarita, San Fernando, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Antelope Valley areas.
Some of the ways we like to give back to our community is by donating hours to Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, SCV Bridge to Home- Homeless Shelter, and Carousel Ranch, in addition to serving as a Board Member with Valencia Business Associates (VBA). VBA consists of local business professionals who work together to provide each other with referrals, business insight, and trustworthy business relationships. Much like the VBA, Coverall Electric understands our role in the community and we are dedicated to making Santa Clarita the best town for our families and businesses.
