We have heard the saying, “you reap what you sow”, and at some time or another, we want to bank on that—as we have injustices (or the appearances) of injustices done upon us.  However, creating a steady path in one’s life is a conscious choice.  It all begins with our thinking.  Our thoughts are so powerful, they can lead us to great ideas and accomplishments, and they can lead us to great despair and havoc.

To really embrace the concept of mentoring our thoughts, and to clean up our thinking is a great discipline of the mind.  It takes constant awareness, and constant re-aligning. It is indeed a mindful approach, and at times the struggle is great.  But just as we work out our body and see the beautiful results of muscles and leanness that appear with our hard work, so it is with the mind.  I started to discover that I would feel aligned and strong even when things weren’t going the way I wanted.  Or perhaps a situation would present itself that didn’t feel kind, but my ability to see through it and turn it around was almost miraculous.  Living in that space is far more positive and enjoyable than reacting to everything that crosses your path.
