Santa Clarita-based Choppé Advertising Group was recently named Agency of Record for the Santa Clarita Valley Auto Dealers Association.  The non-profit association represents 13 dealerships located in the Valencia Auto Center, which comprise 17 franchises.
“Sales revenue generated by the auto dealers represents a significant segment of the local Santa Clarita economy,” said Gary Choppé, agency founder and president.    Last year, the city of Santa Clarita received sales tax revenues in excess of $6 million on sales of over $1 billion generated by the Valencia Auto Center merchants.
As the agency of record, Choppé Advertising Group and its partners will direct the advertising and public relations efforts of the association.   “Our team plans to drive home the importance of the message ‘shop local’ so that residents understand how the community benefits when they make a purchase decision that patronizes a local business,” explained Choppé.

For every dollar spent on taxable goods, one cent of the sales tax paid is returned to the city of Santa Clarita’s general fund.  In the past, the city has used revenue generated by Valencia Auto Center and other local businesses to fund additional sheriff patrol units, build a community center in downtown Newhall, and fund additional park facilities, along with other recreational and public safety needs.

Choppé will be joined by Teresa Todd with McCabe Todd Consulting for public relations support, along with a team of qualified professionals for graphic design, video production, and event marketing support.

Choppé Advertising Group is celebrating its 25th year of doing business in the Santa Clarita Valley. Other high profile clients include Vino100, SCV Bank, The Sanctuary Group, Rick Jackson Motorsport Racing and Castaic Days, a civic event debuting in May 2008.
