Sometimes it’s difficult to find all of the necessary forms, tools and resources needed when you’re trying to turn your dreams of owning a business into a reality without any guidance from people who are in the know.  Never fear, the Small Business Development Center, funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration is here.  Last month, they held their official ribbon cutting at the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce offices where they are headquartered.

Their mission is to provide quality and innovative services that can play a vital role in creating, sustaining and expanding successful small businesses. They offer a wide range of services at little or no cost, including:

-Customized one-on-one business service counseling at no cost.  It’s individual and confidential.

-Business financing and loan packaging, including how to locate funding resources at no cost.

-Interactive workshops, for a small fee, averaging between $10-$30.

-Counseling services, including but not limited to legal, business planning, marketing, financial, procurement and international trade.

The Center services the Santa Clarita, San Fernando and Antelope Valleys and is located at the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, 28460 Avenue Stanford, Suite 100, Santa Clarita, 91355. Two other service points are located in the Antelope and San Fernando Valleys.
