The grand opening for Barn & Charm was a tremendous success.  Customers quickly discovered that the unique vintage boutique was filled with surprises from the past that brought back memories of home. 
As soon as you step through the doors of Barn & Charm, you will be greeted with rustic garden treasures, elegant fine china and more. 

As the owner of Via Tucci and a volunteer at The Closet, it occurred to me this week – This is an amazing place to spend some time! In just a one-week snapshot of life at the shop, there are numerous examples of women helping women. I am so grateful to be a witness to the actions of so many great ladies in this community.

The days and years go by and suddenly our children are grown.  We wonder how the time passed so quickly and find ourselves wishing we could slow it down just a little.   Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to capture a few of those moments in time forever?

Z-Club Highlights by Tyler Peckham - “Men on the Front Lines of New Age Feminism”.    New Age feminism has more male participation than any previous feminist wave, with approximately 57 percent Saugus High School students and teachers considering themselves feminists. The Z Club has a 2:1 female to male ratio; these young men have strong core beliefs of gender equality.  Vice President Russell Thomas stated, “Holding men and women to different standards in this day and age is unacceptable!” Through men like these, the feminist movement is progressing and using it as an effective tactic.  

As a family business in a small city, we would not have the success we’ve had without the support of the local community. Residents of the Santa Clarita Valley are extremely loyal both to local businesses as well as local charities. The philanthropy that goes on in this valley is truly admirable and quite astonishing.

While Jerry may have been born in Iowa, his roots are clearly imbedded in Santa Clarita, moving here in the early 1970’s, attending Arroyo Seco Junior High, Hart High School, College of the Canyons and California Institute of the Arts.  
It was at an early age when Jerry discovered his love for music, which eventually developed into a successful and talented lifelong career.  “Somehow, music just seemed to speak with me in a certain way.”

Katy Moffatt’s profound interest in history and history-in-the-making has long populated her albums and live shows with songs about real people and events, often with an emphasis on women: their accomplishments, struggles and predicaments. Her project, Midnight Radio: A One-Woman Show, is always an entertaining musical journey through 19th, 20th and 21st Century American life, highlighting the role of women and the power of radio through songs of personal history and the telling of history through song.  You can see the show on Thursday, March 26 at the Repertory East Playhouse.

The holidays have come and gone and hopefully everyone is recovering from the hectic and indulgent days and nights that the holidays sometimes visit upon us.
We’re gearing up for 2015, what an exciting year it will be!  We’re looking forward to participating in our local Cowboy Festival in April and various other venues around Santa Clarita in 2015 and the Los Angeles County Fair later this year.
We offer home made jams, preserves and butters made from locally sourced seasonal fruits. Our fruit is from our own Farmers Market at the College of the Canyons and Francisco’s on the 126 freeway in Fillmore.

Dear Men of SCV,
The month of February is upon us, and it’s time to think about the holiday that all women “pretend” does not matter to them – Valentine’s Day!  I’m about to let you in on a little secret…it matters! Why, you ask? It’s not because of the money spent or the bragging rights associated with who has the most generous man in their life. Nope. It’s always the thought that counts!  Knowing that our man has put time and energy into thinking about making us happy is the most romantic thing you can do.
Now I’m well aware most men don’t enjoy an afternoon of shopping in women’s boutiques, so Via Tucci is focused on making it as painless as possible for you to make your lady happy.

Well I got your attention didn’t I?  I’m actually writing about marriage and intimacy, which also involves sex.  When we first meet the man we decide to marry and spend our life loving and fighting with… well, fighting is not really part of the equation.  but none-the-less, all sorts of sparks are flying!  We dress up, wear makeup and worry about our hair.  Unfortunately I see a lot of women who, after the wedding, are just not that interested.
