Otoplasty: Correcting Protruding or Misshaped Ears
The goal of cosmetic or reconstructive ear surgery is to re-establish normal placement of the ear in relationship to the head. The ear has reached 90 to 95 percent of full size by age six. Prominent ear reconstruction (Otoplasty techniques) is very rewarding for both the patient and plastic and reconstructive surgeon because restoring the normal placement of the ear results in greatly improved self-esteem and body image.

Arthritis Tips
With Comfort Keepers In-Home Care being a proud repeat sponsor of Santa Clarita’s annual Arthritis Walk, I thought I would devote this article to just that. Five Tips for Summer
What does summer mean to you? For me it means vacations, lazy evenings, and delectable fruits and veggies. Summer lifts our spirits, giving us new energy like no other time of year. Why not use this to your advantage? It’s the perfect time to start a new season of healthy living. Here are five quick tips to help make necessary changes and incorporate healthy habits into your life that will pay big dividends in the months and years to come.
Clear Up Skin Problems Using Colon Hydrotherapy?
Holistic and natural health practitioners look at the skin as mirroring a myriad of health problems — a reflection of internal health connected to specific toxic overload within the body.
From Numb to Normal OraVerse⢠Brings You Back
If you’re like so many patients, the lingering numbness of local anesthesia is something you’ve become used to, but never comfortable with — it’s not easy getting on with your day when part of you is still not feeling or looking normal. Are you ready for a new possibility?
The Risks of Contact Lens Wear
Contact lenses have come a long way in development since they were first introduced in 1960. The early contact lenses were “hard” lenses made of PMMA or polymethylmethacrylate. Why Do We Put a Price on Our Health?
Cutting back on spending, shouldn’t include cutting back on health. Right now, we’re dealing with more stress than ever, yet we’re doing less to alleviate it. It’s easy to forget about our health when we’re bombarded with reminders of the “state of the economy.”
FAQ for Dentures
The most concern about dentures is how to deal with loosening. I think that the most effective approach is implant-retained dentures. Two to four implants and attachments help to create better retention. I have those questions from my denture patients.
Urination Disturbance
Urination disturbance is manifested by frequency of urination, painful urination and incontinence of urination, resulting mainly from accumulation of heat in the bladder, and sometimes also from emotional factors and deficiency of the kidney.
Balancing Family, Work and Chronic Illness
The key factor to balancing family and work when one has a chronic illness such as diabetes, fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraines, etc. is self care. We should all be kind to ourselves and make sure we get time to rest and slow down. However, it just doesn’t seem so easy with working 20 to 40 hours a week, plus taking kids to and from school, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, plus participate in our kids’ activities such as soccer, Brownies, Boy Scouts, dance, swim, and the list goes on.

As the Wind Blows
Ever been to Disneyland, the happiest place on earth? A young mother in her 30s took her daughter to celebrate her birthday. After seeing Mickey and friends, they settled down to celebrate.
