Exercise Can Be Exciting!
We talked about getting ready for summer in our recent article. The article had many helpful tips and things to do. One of them is losing those unwanted pounds before it gets really hot. It doesn’t matter if you want to wear that tiny bikini or just look nice in a sundress or shorts – there are some things that you can do that are free and just require a little effort to help achieve that goal.
What is it? Exercise… and it can be exciting! Yes, really. Not hard, not tiring, it won’t hurt the next day, but you will get results. Below are some helpful tips to try. You may surprise yourself at how easy it is to do. It could change your life, improve your health, and start you on a more comprehensive exercise program.
Exercise can be exciting! Why bother? Increasing physical activity is one of the most important factors to promote, and most importantly, maintain weight loss. Increased physical activity is one way to increase your metabolic rate during exercise and even for a long period of time after.
• It helps in reducing fat while preserving lean muscle mass.
• It burns calories!!!
• It may decrease your appetite.
• It enhances self-image and your sense of well-being.
What are some exercises even I can do?
• Walking is an ideal activity for weight loss. It’s easy, inexpensive, improves the strength of your muscles in your legs, abdomen and back. Also, you can usually walk further than you can run.
• Swimming
• Running
• Aerobic video tapes/classes
• Running up and down your stairs
Other Ways:
• Park your car further away so you have to walk more
• Take the stairs instead of the elevators when possible
