What is physical fitness? Physical fitness is a general state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical fitness is generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical exercise, and sufficient rest.
Why is physical fitness important? Simply stated a person who is fit is capable of living life to the fullest extent. Physical and mental fitness play very important roles in our lives and people who are both, physically and mentally fit are generally healthier and less prone to illness and various medical conditions as well!

When you look good you feel good and that translates into more happiness, confidence and success in your overall life! Your physical fitness is a crucial component of your health and your health is the foundation on which the rest of your life is built. Research indicates that regular physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that leave you feeling happier, energetic and more relaxed. A habit of regular exercise will help keep you mentally sharper throughout your entire life. Exercise prevents excess weight gain and helps maintain fat loss. Exercise will also help you combat illness and disease. In fact, regular physical activity can help you prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, certain types of cancer, arthritis and falls. You feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly and that in turn will boost your confidence as well as improve your self-esteem. Science clearly shows that more confidence equals greater happiness and success in life. Regular exercise will also improve your strength and boost your endurance. Regular physical activity can help you fall asleep faster as well as deepen your sleep. Your sexual performance and enjoyment will improve drastically as well. One key to living a strong, vibrant and energetic life is increasing your physical activity. When it comes to exercise, you have plenty of options to choose from so find what works best for you and stick with it. Do not let another day/week/year of living healthy pass you by. Life is too short to be anything other than healthy and happy. Make 2017 your best year yet!
