Vista Valencia Golf Helps Circle of Hope Inc.
Vista Valencia Golf Course is once again giving back to the community by supporting local cancer charity Circle of Hope, Inc. The 12-year-old nonprofit plans to use the generous donation to financially assist its clients by paying for cancer-related expenses, insurance co-pays and COBRA premiums.
Each October, Vista Valencia participates in Cancer Awareness Month with a campaign to raise funds for Circle of Hope. Past activities have included the opportunity for golfers to purchase pink flags that line the fairways; remembrance flags displayed at each tee; and weekly opportunity drawing tickets for exciting golf packages and baskets. The campaign is promoted and supported by a group of generous, volunteer “ambassadors,” headed up by Dennis Nelson, who make sure that the pros, duffers and weekenders are aware of the October program. Vista General Manager Adam Hill is delighted to offer support.
“There isn’t much I wouldn’t do for Circle of Hope,” he says. “They are a vital part of our community, and we’re happy to support their cause.”
The non-profit is very grateful for the compassion and generosity.
“Vista has supported us several years running. We are so honored to be their charity of choice again this year,” says President and Director of Operations Pam Ripling. “Because of Vista Valencia Golf, we can add new individuals to our client list, and that’s what it’s all about.”
Circle of Hope supports individuals diagnosed with breast, uterine, cervical, ovarian, testicular, prostate and colon cancers. Applicants must live, work or be treated in the Santa Clarita Valley.
