Tell Me Something Good – March 2017
Springtime is here – the flowers are blooming, and the bees are buzzing… A true optimist, I love sharing the positive news around town. We wanted to take another moment to share the good and highlight the great things that are happening in Santa Clarita.
Congratulations to Susan Reynolds and fiancé Jerry Buckley on their recent engagement. Your smile says it all Susan, and we are so very happy for the both of you!
Local Junior Chamber International members Jenny Ketchepaw and Debbie Holbrook were recently honored with the highest recognition in their organization, Senators. Congratulations to you both for all your hard work and dedication to the Santa Clarita Chapter of JCI.
It was grant distribution day at the SCV Education Foundation on Wednesday, February 8, as they awarded more than 23,000 in equipment and supplies to various teachers all over different schools in the Santa Clarita Valley.
City staff went on the Job to North Park Elementary PTA to see the Discovery Cube Los Angeles Eco Challenge program they sponsored for 6th grade students in Santa Clarita. The students learned why it’s so important to pick up after your pet. They got a kick out of the slide showing a dog doing his part to clean up his own waste!
Castaic Lake is full again—and back to a safe level to open for residents. Thank you to Cindy Williams for the beautiful photo!
