Best Treatments to Make Your Mother Smile
Mother’s Day is around the corner! Are you still stuck on deciding what to do to celebrate your mother? Well, what better way to celebrate than by making her smile!
You can clean up the house, take her to brunch, get fancy beauty products for her, and so on, but above all, she will be happy the most if you can give her own time and space with beauty treatments (and some extra cash if possible) at a salon or spa. Your mother will probably love any treatment you select for her. After all, going to the salon or spa is all about luxury and pampering! However, you may want to consider specific things about each of the most common treatments available, and how they might affect your own mom.
Massages and facials are always the most popular treatments, which your mom will likely enjoy. If your mom has experienced chronic back pain, stiff neck, frozen shoulders, or all of them, she will definitely love the ahhhh of a therapeutic rub down under a relaxing atmosphere.
Facials might be a good choice for mothers who are uncomfortable with partial or full nudity or find the idea of a massage invasive. Facials are done with a robe on, and touch is limited down to above the chest area.
Facials usually consist of cleansing, exfoliating, extractions, massage, and a mask. Of these, extractions tend to be the only painful or uncomfortable part. She can skip it if she prefers a gentle experience. Instead, she can get more massage including hands and scalp.
If your mom is still intimidated with “spa things”, she might prefer a more familiar pampering experience such as a manicure and/or pedicure, or hair treatments for a deep conditioning treatment and scalp massage as well as blowout. She will appreciate if you can add other chemical services such as permanent wave, Brazilian blowout, Japanese straightening.
Consider what your mom needs. You know your mom better. Your mom might have wanted to try lash extensions or microblading or permanent makeup for a while. This would be better than another bunch of roses, and with the astronomical marked-up cost of flower delivery on Mother’s Day, it may even be more economical.
