Different Options for Permanent Brows
There are circumstances where your natural eyebrow might not be quite what you want it to be. A variety of factors can influence what your eyebrows look like and how they grow, including age, eyebrow care habits, and scarring. If you are looking for a more filled-in look, have patches in your natural eyebrows, or simply do not want to deal with the upkeep of your eyebrows, there are a few options you can consider for getting your perfect eyebrow look with the help of cosmetic makeup.
Option 1. Microblading
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that can get your eyebrows back on point and looking fantastic. With this technique, a handheld machine or manual tool is used by the cosmetic artist to mimic natural hairs on your eyebrows. This method is minimally invasive and usually only requires a topical numbing cream around the eyebrow area. Microblading results last up to two years but will fade because of the shallowness of the pigment in the skin.
Option 2. 3D Hair Strokes
3D strokes tattooing can give you a new shape of your brows. Your desired pigment will be filled in your brows with a small needle. The cosmetic artist uses this special technique along with up to three different kinds of pigment, creating a multi-layered effect.
After the procedure, the color of your brows will be a bit darker, but they will lighten up between 10 to 14 days after the treatment. 3D brows can be done to resemble natural brow lines and thicknesses or can be customized to fit what you want your eyebrows to look like.
Option 3. Powder Filled Brows
The powder fill technique typically lasts longest. This is because the needle goes deeper into the skin than other techniques. If you are looking for a longer-term eyebrow tattoo, powder fill brows may be the best eyebrow option for you.
It may also be a better option for more mature patients, as the hair stroke method tends to fade faster. This method goes deeper into the skin using small dots of pigment and has a very subtle shape but does not have to look blocky or heavy when done correctly.
