A Call to Action

 How many of us have settled for mediocrity in life? The fundamental question is; do you want to settle for average or rise above to live the life of your dreams? Why do we continue to work at jobs we hate? Why do we neglect our health only to feel like crap and hate what we see in the mirror? Why do we choose to remain complacent instead of seeking to better ourselves? We are creatures of habit. We tend to avoid change and often prefer the path of least resistance. We like predictable and comfortable lives. We get so caught up in our careers and family that we neglect our own happiness and wellbeing. We are either too busy or tired to care for ourselves. As a result, we miss out on the rewards of living a less than average life and ultimately, we sacrifice our health and our happiness. I see so many people just going through the motions and living lives of quiet desperation? I guess for some people it’s just easier to settle than leave their comfort zone but that’s no way to live.
An average life is boring and lacks any real passion and satisfaction. It’s time to snap out of it and take action to improve your life. If you don’t, then you risk looking back one day with regret. You have greatness within you! You have endless potential to tap into. You have amazing gifts to share with the world. You short change yourself and the world around you when you settle for average.
Yes, you will need to get out of your comfort zone. Yes, you will have to work hard and make sacrifices. You have to fight through all the obstacles that lie between where you are and where you want to be. Life is too short to settle for average. The one and only way to embrace your potential is to stop settling for less than what you deserve. You are wasting precious time that you can never get back. The moment you begin to settle is the moment you start dying a slow and miserable death. As far as we know, you only get one shot so don’t waste it my friend! Go out there and be great!
