Harmony’s Birthday
This month marks our sheep, Harmony’s 6th birthday. She was born at The Gentle Barn to a mom who was rescued from horrific abuse just prior. Her mom was part of over sixty animals who were rescued from a cruelty case. They were sick and scared when they came in, and after months of excellent vet care, Sun Chlorella Algae Super Food, and lots of love, they finally recovered, body and spirit.
Harmony has never seen the worst of humanity like her mom, but instead has only known love, kindness, safety, and fun. She has been instrumental in showing her mom that she can trust us. Harmony lives a care free and exciting life at The Gentle Barn, playing with her many friends, eating fresh food, drinking clean water, and receiving lots of love from all of us.
This month we are raising funds for a truck load of hay to feed Harmony and all her rescued friends. When you donate for hay at www.gentlebarn.org, you’re not only filling their bellies, but you’re restoring our animals’ faith in humans and showing them that they will never go without a meal again! Thank you for loving animals with us and helping us take care of them!
The Gentle Barn is home to animals rescued from abuse and neglect, and host to school field trips, private tours, and groups of children with special needs. We are open to the public every Sunday from 10-2 so you can hug cows, cuddle turkeys, give pigs tummy rubs, feed horses carrots, pet goats and sheep, and hear their stories of resilience.
