Read This Before You Join A Gym
So, you want to join a gym, but you’re overwhelmed with the numerous options. With all these gyms fighting for your business it can feel like a feeding frenzy at times. Getting your health and fitness back on track is hard enough as is and the last thing you want is to regret joining a gym or fitness program. I know that finding the right gym can be overwhelming and confusing so here are three tips from a fitness industry insider (aka me):
1. Don’t join a gym solely because they are running a promotion or because they are the cheapest. I see people make this mistake all too often. You don’t want to end up locked in a contract at a gym you don’t like simply because it’s cheaper. You typically get what you pay for, but you already know that right?
2. Don’t join a gym because your friends go there. Just because your friends go to a gym doesn’t mean that it is a good fit for you.
3. Most certainly don’t join a gym without doing your due diligence. Do some research and test some gyms out. Yelp, Google and Facebook all provide reviews for you to check out businesses. You can also ask around as to what gyms people prefer. Don’t join a gym without checking a few out. Most gyms offer free trials of some kind so take advantage of that.
Losing weight and getting fit is a challenging undertaking but with the right gym you will be well on your way to achieving your goals in 2019.
