Lighten Up, It’s Spring!
Thinking of going lighter for the spring? Yes! Yes! Yes! The most popular way of lightening the hair is either a full head of highlights or a Balayage. Highlights lighten the hair all over from top to bottom. They can be done fine or thicker for a more drastic look. A Balayage lightens the hair from the bottom up, the color concentration is at the ends and Lightener is painted from the bottom up the hair shaft; resulting in a very natural look with the top of the head having a shadow root blending down to lighter color. Both are equally beautiful and will result in a lighter overall end result. The only scenario that is challenging is if you’re a dark brunette and you want very light Ombre’d ends, you just have to take your time in getting there in stages which means more than one session. In both techniques the more a Balayage or highlights are done the lighter the hair will become and blend seamlessly into your natural hair color.
