Inner Power
We all have a belief system that we live by. The way we think and feel dictate how we act. Luckily, if we have a negative thought, we don’t need to be stuck with it. Did you know that we can rewire our brains and choose one thought over another? We mainly operate out of two energies: fear and love. From these two forces come many emotions. Fear creates jealousy, anger, animosity, despair, insecurity, depression, and feelings of being inept. Love creates joy, gratitude, hope, confidence, creativity, and generosity.
In Hebrew, we call it “Hakarat hatov” – recognizing the source of all the good around us and in others. Choosing positivity and love over fear is a skill that constantly needs to be practiced. It also makes it easier to feel connected to others on the purest level. Feeling immense gratitude open gates to many areas. Carefully decide which thoughts to focus on, understanding that we are the only ones responsible for our own happiness. When we lead a life with a positive attitude, we are connecting to our higher self; we are unstoppable. Inner power does not mean being arrogant, too rigid, or too insensitive. It just means being fearless. It helps us to approach life circumstances with more confidence, remain focused through challenges, trust the process, and emerge stronger. When we lead a positive lifestyle, we learn to celebrate life’s abundance and see the wonder in everything; nothing is taken for granted.
It is up to us to choose love over fear, joy over sadness, hope over despair, compassion over jealousy, and appreciation over resentment. Let go of past situations, negative people, and the need to be in control. Real love is unconditional whereas living in fear is full of conditions. Love is a force of energy that fills our spirits and allows us to be fully engaged in life, thus allowing us to reach our full potential. As Edmond Hillary said, “It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves”. Letting go of fear and spreading love and light is not an easy mission, but it is not impossible. It is the only path to climbing high to find our inner strength and joy.
