Motivations for Growth
We’ve just ushered a new year in the Jewish calendar. As we do each year, we review the past year, learn from it, and try to do better. It takes a strong willingness to change but we do it since we understand that we’re the only ones in charge of our lives.
We all aim high and resolute to change, but do we have a clear idea of our goals?
Sometimes I know exactly what I need to change, perhaps work on self-improvement, or take a class to develop better work skills. Sometimes it’s easier for me to know what I don’t like. I make a list of it and turn that around to a list of those opposites. I make sure that my goals are according to my definition of what’s important to me in my own life, not someone else’s standard. I try to clear my monkey mind from all stressful situations, people, or distractions so I can truly concentrate. I want to avoid making impulsive decisions in the future. I also don’t want to be more reactive to events than proactive. I want to truly focus on my priorities. To increase my awareness, I focus on my intentions and trust that my answers will come at the right time to guide me toward my growth. To get clarity and stick to the new goals I set for the upcoming year, I write them down and make a vision board so I can envision it.
Try to envision that you are already there, that you already own it. When you feel that burning desire and believe in yourself, it will show in the way you walk and talk. Your speech and actions will be with more confidence. That’s how you put the law of
attraction in motion. Wish it, feel it, work hard towards fulfilling it, and it will be yours.
Success without feeling pride for fulfilling our goals isn’t enough. Always aim high, constantly make progress to manifest, and fulfill your potential completely. Only when you’re super motivated to work hard and achieve your goals, do you enjoy the adrenalin and find true contentment and growth in life. Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Happiness is not a goal; It is a byproduct of a life well-lived.”
Remember that you’re here to make your dreams happen, to be happy, and to spread your goodness and light to the world. This year, live out your soul’s unique purpose and make your one-of-a-kind contribution to the world. May the New Year bring you happiness, fulfillment, and abundant growth in the year ahead!
