You are invited to participate in our community-wide food drive in recognition of National Hunger Awareness Day, June 3.  Many grocery stores in the Santa Clarita Valley will be hosting food drives to feed needy families, at their stores from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1. 

Here we are in the month of May when the weather here in Southern California is the envy of the country.  Golf weather.  I don’t know why I play.  I am not good.  There is nothing else I do in life that I am as bad at as I am at playing golf, yet I continue.  If after 10 years of fishing, I could not get the bait in the water, I would quit.  If I were as bad a skydiver as I am a golfer, you would probably be playing golf at the Randy Lubas memorial.
