Fresh produce should be a key part of everyone’s diet. Fruits and vegetables are delicious and extremely beneficial to the human body. Research has continually shown that the nutrients in fresh produce help protect you from cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, and Type 2 diabetes. Additionally, produce contains phytochemicals. Phytochemicals are powerful food factors that are key in health maintenance and disease prevention. They are usually related to plant pigments, so yellow, orange, red, green, and purple fruits and vegetables are especially good for you.

Pizza was first made in Naples, Italy in 1889.  The first pizza was made from round bread with basil, tomato sauce, and some cheese to resemble the Italian flag.  The ovens were lit by burning wood.
Today, pizza has become so popular and gained recognition as one of the best dishes in the United States.  It’s become a favorite American pastime, especially for busy families who take advantage of pizza delivery to your door.  Thank goodness our Italian friends back in 1889 came up with such a delicious idea!
