The College of the Canyons Art Gallery will exhibit the work of LA-based abstract painter and educator Sue Tuemmler which began on October 12 and will continue through November 7.
For Tuemmler, painting and teaching are intertwined. A retired Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) teacher, Tuemmler taught art in Lincoln Heights for many years and was a traveling art teacher in South and East Los Angeles.

On August 24, the Domestic Violence Center celebrated 30 years of service in the Santa Clarita Valley. The event recognized the efforts of all the individuals that, throughout the years, have added to the mission that has led the DVC to provide services to over 2,000 adult individuals throughout the year 2012 alone.

Last month I had a first date with a very nice cashier. This was definitely in my top 10 dates of all time. There were sparks on both sides, and needless to say we were going out again. During this past month, we went out six times. Now I know this might not sound like a lot, except that it all happened within two weeks. This woman was so easy going, and she did not care about expensive restaurants.
