Bring LARC Ranch May 1 Ride and Poker Run to Help Developmentally Disabled People Thrive
Dozens of motorcycles rumbled onto LARC Ranch recently to bring fellowship and a bit of biker excitement to the ranch’s residents as the Bikers for Christ held their Third Annual LARC Ranch Benefit Ride.

On Wednesday, June 16 The Chambers Business After Hours was held at Old Town Newhall, Main and Market Streets.
The beautiful evening was enjoyed by the many people who were in attendance.

Pancake Breakfast Greenbrier Mobile Estates Residences Enjoy Breakfast in Santa Clarita

The Santa Clarita Sunrise Rotary Club sponsored a pancake breakfast for the residents of Greenbrier Mobile Estates to support their Emergency Preparedness Committee in raising the message of preparedness to the 320 Greenbrier Residents.

Following a magically successful motorcycle ride the previous Sunday, the Born to Be Wild Auction and Dinner benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita was a night filled with lots of laughter and even more charity at the Mann BioMedical Park on Saturday, June 12.

Bikes showed up roaring to go at 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 6 for the first ever Six Flags Friends Born to Be Wild Magic Ride benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita.

It was yet another success at this year’s SCV Relay for Life which took place on May 22 to 23 at Central Park.  Between 4,000 and 6,000 people showed their support. 

Congratulations to 2010 Man and Woman of the Year Award recipients Wayne Crawford and Mary Ann Colf whom took home the prestigious honor on Friday, May 7, 2010.

Trainers and members gathered at Egg Plantation in Newhall on May 13, to celebrate Results Fitness’ 10th year in business!   Guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks as they talked about how Results Fitness has helped change their lives.

On Sunday May 2, many guests gathered for the Child & Family Center’s Taste of the Town, held at the picturesque Mann Biomedical Park in Valencia. 

Nearly 450 lined Town Center Drive to join the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s annual GREAT STRIDES event on Saturday, April 24.  The event was a success, raising $81,000 to support CF programs, research and education. 

Hundreds gathered at Castaic Lake on Sunday, April 25, to have fun and get dirty at the Merrel Down & Dirty Mud Run Series.  Participants of all ages raced alongside local Military personnel, Public Safety Officers and Police Academy trainees, all while supporting troops through Operation Gratitude.

The Dancing With Our Stars was yet another huge success for Santa Clarita as the event raised just over $200,000 for our non-profit organizations! 

This year Assistance League celebrated the 20th anniversary of their Footsteps 5K Run/Walk with over 300 participants “taking their mark” under sunny skies.

The AYSO GU14 Castaic Inferno is at it again!  They just finished two more successful tournaments - one in Palmdale where they brought home first place medals, and the other in Moorpark where they added fourth place trophies to their collection.  Over the past three months, they’ve been busy battling some of the toughest teams in Southern California and have enjoyed many victories.  To date, they’ve played 18 matches with 14 wins (including 11 shutouts), three losses, and one tie.

Saturday, March 27 Green Thumb Garden Center held it’s 40th Anniversary Spring Opening.  The day was enjoyed by the many visitors in attendance who watched a variety of vendor demonstrations, were treated to hourly giveaways and whose children in attendance could take part in a children’s coloring corner, and were treated to lemonade and popcorn. 

Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, The SCV Youth Project’s mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where teens and families are strengthened, empowered and equipped with the tools they need to live successful and fulfilling lives.  The second annual Sweet Charity Cake Auction raised $22,000 to help aid in the Youth Project’s mission.

This year’s theme for our eco-chic fashion, hair and art event was like none other seen in the Santa Clarita Valley.  With a giant passion for fashion, the Rituals team along with volunteers and guests watched the ECOFashion walk down the green carpet all while raising money for The Surfrider Foundation and The SCV Youth Project.
