I Know What It’s Supposed to Taste Like! – Part 2
Last month I touched on the pseudo-mavens who proclaim (inadvertently or not) to set the ‘standards’ by which every food imaginable is to be judged as ‘correct’ in only the form and taste they deem proper and acceptable. And if we don’t agree with them, then apparently we have no idea what we’re talking about. Right. Citing pizza and steak as examples…I pointed out some geographical observations that always lead to major differences of opinion regarding those two culinary staples.
Local Quick-Service Restaurant Recognized for Healthy Options
Now that the holidays are behind us, Santa Clarita residents are doing their best to start the year off right. But it may not mean that they have to sacrifice convenience and great taste...at least not at Wendy’s. Men’s Health Magazine recently announced Wendy’s as the number one quick-service restaurant for healthy options. They found that relative to other burger joints, Wendy’s has many more options on the menu falling below 400 calories.
Let’s Talk About Art -Did You Know? – Feb 2013
Life again is beginning a new year and 2013 is going to be full of new experiences. To begin with, every day our world is filled with “images.” Yes, images are everywhere. In one city block, in any city the shapes, forms and colors of what we see in that one block are huge. What is an image? Images are shapes of anything we see. It can be a building, street, trees, people, stores, cars, animals, signs, houses, boats, churches, birds, statues, lakes and any object we see in the modern world.

Do Nice Guys Really Finish Last?
Now that we made it thru 2012, without the Mayan calendar ending it for us, we can now look forward to a great 2013.
So lets talk about the headline. To start with, yours truly is a nice guy, and more often than not, I end up finishing last. Most women want that bad boy image, even if it’s just for show. Now some women that I have dated in the past, were in an abusive relationship before dating me. This could have been physical, or mental abuse. They would tell me what a nice guy I am, which meant the kiss of death to me. After a month or two, they would always go back to that relationship. Why? That’s the million-dollar question, and there could be so many reasons.

A Guy’s Take On Being Single in Santa Clarita
I recently had the opportunity to go to my son’s school, for a back to school night. Now a lot of you have done the same thing. Sometimes you go year after year. While I was there seeing the classrooms and teachers, I kept running into the same parent going to some of the same classrooms.

I Know What It’s Supposed to Taste Like!
I’m always fascinated when I hear some self-proclaimed experts aggrandize their own purported expertise regarding a particular food and they, in so many words, lay unspoken claim to being the culinary cognoscente…the unassailable arbiter whose final decree puts the rest of us on notice that what we like…what pleases our personal palates, apparently matters little. After all…they know so much more than us about that particular food. Or do they?
