Where Can I Go to Get Free or Low-Cost Health Care?
Is there a website that helps me locate inexpensive health care?
You may want to consult the HHS Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) directory of health centers at http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov - these health centers provide care on a sliding fee scale so it is affordable for anyone. You can receive care even if you are uninsured or cannot pay. Search the directory by zip code to find the centers nearest you.
Athletic Children and Chiropractic
Oftentimes in my office I get to know my patients rather well through conversations as the patient is being treated. As a result, I also learn about their children and their children’s athletic ventures. But I am shocked when patients look at me with a surprised face when I mention that I work on children, especially those who play sports and suffer from sports-related injuries. I find myself explaining to patients the benefits of chiropractic for children, and especially children who are athletic.
What are Orthotics?
Orthotics are shoe inserts that are intended to correct an abnormal, or irregular, walking pattern. Orthotics are not truly or solely “arch supports,” although some people use those words to describe them, and they perhaps can best be understood with those words in mind. They perform functions that make standing, walking, and running more comfortable and efficient by altering slightly the angles at which the foot strikes a walking or running surface.
High Protein, Low Carbohydrate, No Fat Diet’s?
If you are like most people who want to lose weight, you are probably very confused with the numerous options of programs that typically contradict one-another, all claiming to have found the cure for obesity. One of the most popular diets to hit the scene and influence countless people to ban bread is the infamous high protein diet. Recently one of our patients, who had some success with a high protein diet in the past, asked us to explain the difference between this diet and the Bali Nutrition program. We’re glad to help!

Balance Problems
Normal balance orientation, or the state of “equilibrium” is critical to a person’s quality of life. Balance requires the integration of three primary sensory systems: inner ear, visual and central nervous. These three systems work collectively to help ensure effective balance. When one or more is disrupted, a balance problem may result.
Sports Injuries and Chiropractic Care
Many injuries with the muscles and joints can begin with athletics. High school, college, and professional athletes are sidelined with injuries that could be avoided. Some athletes sit on the bench because their injury does not respond to ordinary treatment. Still others are playing, but with limitations, simply because their muscles and joints are not working properly. Progressive coaches, athletes, and doctors are realizing that pain-killing drugs are not the answer. They merely cover up the symptoms, making the athlete at risk for further injury.
Botox: More Than a Wrinkle Cure
Most patients think of Botox as a wrinkle cure, however Botox plays a major role in facial shaping and sculpturing rather than just injecting wrinkles.

Five Questions to Ask your Spinal Decompression Doctor And why theyâre important
1. What criteria do you use to determine if I am a candidate? It is important to ask this question because there are very specific criteria to determine how effective the treatment will be. If the doctor does not have an established system for the inclusion or exclusion of patients for treatment then you may want to re-think doing the procedure at that office. There must be a comprehensive health history, examination, and a review of all diagnostic tests to determine if you are a candidate. The doctor and patient should take this procedure as serious as he/she would surgery.
