Great Cupcakes for Great Strides Success
It was a sweet afternoon as guests indulged in cupcakes galore at the Great Cupcakes for Great Strides event to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Both professional and home bakers showcased their cupcakes on Sunday, March 24 at the Town Center Apartments in Valencia.
Fashion, Food and Fun at SIGSC’s Fashion Show and Boutique!
It was an afternoon of Mischief & Malarkey as models went down the runway at this year’s Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita’s Fashion Show and Boutique! On Sunday, March 17, guests spent St. Patrick’s Day enjoying some food, fun, fashion and entertainment at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Valencia.
Trinity Wins State Cheerleading Championship!
On Saturday, March 9, the Trinity Classical Academy varsity cheerleaders took home 1st place at the California Cheer and Dance State Championship hosted by Spirit Club International in the Varsity Intermediate Non-Tumbling Division. The Trinity cheerleaders performed a near flawless routine hitting all of their stunts and pyramids while executing sharp and synchronized moves.
Habitat for Humanity SF/SCV Raises Over $250K for Their Special Veteran Housing Program
Friday, March 1, Habitat for Humanity San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valleys (SF/SCV) raised over $250,000, netting over $210,000 for their special Habitat for Heroes veterans program at their annual Habitat Hearts for Heroes Builders Ball. This year’s event honored the Southern California Gas Company, a Sempra Energy Utility and Carl and Jeri Goldman of KHTS AM 1220 with the elite Hammer of Hope Award for sponsoring this first-of-its-kind project.
Oh Sweet Charity!
Guests had a sweet time at the SCV Youth Project’s Sweet Charity & Auction on Saturday, March 2, held at the beautiful Tournament Players Club in Valencia. The event raised nearly $25,000 for the SCV Youth Project.

Lil’ Kickers Open House Fun!
On Saturday, January 19, the Santa Clarita Soccer Center hosted their Lil’ Kickers Soccer Open House at Velocity Sports Performance in Valencia. Over 200 kids were in attendance, receiving their free t-shirts and playing soccer. The children also had an opportunity to meet and greet PK Kicker, the Santa Clarita Soccer Center’s Lil’ Kickers mascot.

Over 60 local wedding vendors participated in the event including Jill’s Cakes, The Hyatt, Charmaine’s Flowers, Flowers by Acton Creative, and SOS Entertainment provided the stage and entertainment for the afternoon.

Around 100 people attended The Truth Helps Success Symposium, hosted by local financial services firm Infinity Wealth Management on Tuesday, November 13 to gain insight and direction on some of today’s least talked about financial issues affecting the Valencia community. Jerry Citarella, president of Infinity Wealth Management hosted and provided a wide array of speakers and presentations, including a seminar titled “Avoiding Your Wish I Would’ves.”
